El Paso and the awesome Tucson KOA

Posted by on June 14, 2017

We had a last minute change of plans this morning.  Instead of continuing north through the city of Carlsbad and then on for a quick stop at White Sand Nat Monument and then on to Tucson, we instead detoured south to handle some banking business in El Paso.  We will have to catch White Sands the next time.  By mid-day we wrapped up in El Paso and were on the road again.  By early evening, we pulled into one of the nicest campgrounds we had ever seen, the Tucson KOA/Lazydays!  Our upgraded fireplace campsite had a full stone fireplace, lounge chairs and eating area.  Lindsay promised me that the upgrade was free so I could enjoy it fully!  We started some laundry and headed off to the pool to enjoy it and hot tub.  Later, Thomas and I threw the football and Frisbee around and we got a good night’s sleep before we start tomorrow just a short distance away at Saguaro NP!
